How to follow Pip on the Vendée Arctique 2022

It feels like no time has passed at all since the last race. Pip and the team are now in Les Sables d'Olonne, France, for the Vendée Arctique race which starts on Sunday 12 June.

The 2nd edition of the Vendée Arctique race is the first of five qualifying races for the Vendée Globe in 2024. It's certainly known for being one of the most difficult and challenging courses for the sailors. This is a solo race, and the 25 skippers will race north of Iceland, taking the IMOCA fleet to latitudes they have never been to before. The course will take them through a wide variety of weather systems that will challenge the sailors from the first day to the last day.

The race starts at 5pm (French time) on Sunday 12 June. For those of you who enjoy following the race live, you can find the race tracker by clicking on the tracker below.

Andi Robertson is back with the daily Vendée live shows on the Vendée Arctique YouTube channel.

Pip will be sending regular updates from on board Medallia which we will be share on our website, YouTube channel and our social media channels.

It has been incredible to be back in Les Sables d’Olonne with a busy race village and to feel what the atmosphere of a race start is like without the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. Pip and Technical Director, Joff Brown, have done a dock tour of all the boats that are taking part in this race. To find out more about each boat and team, follow their two-part dock tour by clicking on the picture below.

Join us as we follow Pip's progress every step of the way around Iceland - Pip and the whole team get so much motivation from seeing all your support. We also love receiving your emails and comments and can’t wait to share this race with you.

Best wishes from us all,

The Pip Hare Ocean Racing Team
